A Cup of Tea
A Cup of Tea She made a cup of tea And poured it out for herself, And above the streaming brew she smiled. Two sweet lumps of sugar fell into The cup. The morning dew falls unrestrained, The morning sun shines unhindered, The birds sing and fly unbothered, The birds are making her feel quite guilty though They're so busy! Not yet ready for the sun, She hide away in the shade. Inhaling the beauty of the garden, So thankful for the trees. They know her and understand She like to be hidden sometimes. She sits there at a small table. Her flowing white skirt, A pair of little, white heels And her hands gently wrapped around the cup. While sipping Tea from the cup, Glossy lips touches the cup Printing the colour of lipstick on the cup. It’s the time she spend for herself Which helps her to begin the day with positivity.
